We strive for clarity and simplicity in form while taking advantage of regional materials and local construction techniques. Built with close consideration to texture, composition, light and air, each project is well thought-out to capture the client’s vision and to fit harmoniously within its surrounding context. Pre-Designed Kit Homes zKits are pre-planned kit homes rooted in the simplicity of Texas vernacular architecture, sustainability and cost effectiveness. We offer seven different home plans that can be easily customized depending on the client’s needs and lifestyle. The modular designs keep architectural fees and construction costs to a minimum to meet budget requirements depending on location and chosen finishes. By utilizing off-the-shelf components, zKits can offer architecturally designed homes that are more affordable and efficient than comparable custom-designed homes. An optimized supply chain enables components to be shipped to the home site with the lowest possible transportation costs. Clever design and simple instructions allow the contractor to assemble the structure in a fraction of the time it takes to build a conventional home. Our goal is to make the zKit process, from purchasing to moving into your new home, as seamless and easy as possible Click on the Kit model number above to scroll through images and plans of each design. Pre-Fabricated Living Solutions zFab is our pre-fabricated house design that offers affordable two plans for modern homes under 500 square feet. A tiny home is a great solution for a guest house that shares an existing property or as a sustainable off-the-grid getaway. The goal is to provide a unique service model that quickly and efficiently manufactures high-quality, well-designed homes in a factory before delivering and installing on-site. This process minimizes cost and waste while increasing efficiency in delivery. Download Brochure 360 504 Plan and Pictures | Renderings Plan and Pictures | Renderings health + sustainability Zfab housing is manufactured with an option for LEED certification with net zero or net positive energy. The butterfly roof system allows the owner to have flexibility for solar orientation (solar panels can be incorporated at optimum direction) and freedom of views. The majority of the Z-fab is factory built. This reduces overall waste and contributes to efficiency and savings in the construction process. Once the home arrives at its site, the only work that needs to be done is setting the home on its foundation, connecting the electrical, plumbing and mechanical systems, and building the decks. Additional items that may need connecting are the solar panel system and rainwater collection tank. “A sustainable building, or green building is an outcome of a design philosophy which focuses on increasing the efficiency of resource use – energy, water, and materials – while reducing building impacts on human health and the environment during the building’s lifecycle, through better siting, design, construction, operation, maintenance, and removal.” —Anne Freji of the Urban Land Institute delivery Our goal is to make the Zfab process, from purchasing to moving into your home, as seamless and easy as possible. The time-line will take an average 3 months and includes: site design, manufacturing the home, permitting if necessary, preparation of the site and the foundation, shipping, installation on the foundation, MEP equipment, MEP connections, deck(s) installation, landscaping and additional green features. Costs are impacted by shipping and the accessibility for installation at the site. Copyright ? 2017 Brett Zamore Design, LLC
